The Buyer Consultation is your opportunity to educate and qualify the buyer. In a sellers market with little inventory and multiple offers, the Buyer Consultation is extremely important to establish reasonable expectations and readiness of the Buyer.  In a buyers market, the consultation is your opportunity to standout and shows your value as their representative.

Choose one or all of the Presentation Styles:

Confirm the information you might already have regarding the buyers and ensure you have all the details:

  • Time frame
  • Location
  • Financing or cash
  • Budget
  • Wants and needs in their property (the specifics)
  • Be prepared to adapt and adjust to any changes the buyer shares

Explain the home buying process & set expectations

  • Use the Buyer Consultation Presentation
  • Give the buyer a Home Buying Guide (check with your brokerage or title company for resources)
  • You can show them all properties from varied sources:
    • Available Listing in the MLS
    • Team and Company Listings
    • New Homes
    • For Sales By Owners
    • Finding Properties Not on the Market
  • Have they purchased homes before? If so, when and where
  • Describe your current market (Sellers Market or Buyers Market)
  • Sense of urgency in Sellers Market with multiple offers
  • Review Agency Disclosure/Duties Owed and/or Buyer Brokerage Agreement and obtain commitment
